New 800,000 sq ft Centre to be built in Wales

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2007) - today announced that up to 1,200 jobs will be created over the next five years with a new purpose built distribution centre in Swansea, Wales.

The 800,000 sq ft centre - approximately the size of ten football pitches - is to be built on a 33 acre site formerly owned by the Welsh Assembly Government at Jersey Marine, in the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council area. The centre will distribute a wide range of items available from and also provides extra capacity for an ever-increasing selection of products.

Work on the new centre, being developed by the Macquarie Goodman Group, an integrated industrial property group listed on Australian Stock Exchange, is due to start on site in April with the first phase of 400,000 sq ft completed by October 2007.
