WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - October 19, 2016) - Ambassador John Bolton announced today that the John Bolton PAC will contribute to the campaigns of Justin Fareed (CA-24), Erik Paulsen (MN-3), Claudia Tenney (NY-22), Chris Collins (NY-27), and Lloyd Smucker (PA-16), for a collective contribution of $35,000. This announcement comes as part of a larger initiative by Ambassador Bolton to ensure America elects officials who have the ideas and expertise to keep America safe by championing strong national security policies.
"Eight years of President Obama's failed foreign policies have left the world in disarray," said Ambassador John Bolton. "With less than a month until Election Day, and with so much at stake in this election, I am determined to help elect the most qualified, security-minded candidates to Congress. I believe these candidates have what it takes to fix Obama's failures and restore American exceptionalism by working to re-invest in our national security and by taking a strong stand against our adversaries."
The John Bolton PAC has contributed a total of $679,500 and endorsed 94 candidates in the 2016 election cycle, making it the most active leadership PAC in the country. Additionally, the Bolton SuperPAC is spending more than $3M on independent expenditure campaigns for Senator Richard Burr (NC), Dr. Joe Heck (NV), and Senator Kelly Ayotte (NH).
Ambassador Bolton on Justin Fareed (CA-24)
"As someone who is focused on the next generation, Justin understands the importance of making national security a top priority in Congress," said Ambassador Bolton. "Justin believes as I do, that radical Islamic terrorism is a real threat and must be eradicated in order to keep our nation secure for future generations. I am endorsing his candidacy for Congress because I know he will work to restore America's safety with innovative ideas for our national defense and foreign policy."
Ambassador Bolton on Erik Paulsen (MN-3)
"In Congress, Erik has proven he has the skills and expertise necessary to restore America's military and national security," said Ambassador Bolton. "I am supporting Erik's re-election to Congress because I know he understands the serious threat that ISIS and our adversaries pose to our nation, and he is willing to do what it takes to keep America safe."
Ambassador Bolton on Claudia Tenney (NY-22)
"Claudia believes the primary role of the federal government, as authorized by the Constitution, is to provide for national defense and border security," said Ambassador Bolton. "In Congress, I know Claudia will work to ensure our military has the resources needed to respond to current and potential threats, which is why she has my full support."
Ambassador Bolton on Chris Collins (NY-27)
"In Congress, Chris has made national security one of his central issues," said Ambassador Bolton. "He has spoken out against Obama's flawed foreign policy initiatives, such as the failed Iran Nuclear Deal and the unchecked migration of Syrian refugees. We need Chris' leadership and ideas to remain in Congress, which is why I support his candidacy for re-election."
Ambassador Bolton on Lloyd Smucker (PA-16)
"While serving in the Pennsylvania State Senate, Lloyd has been a proponent of strong security measures for his state," said Ambassador Bolton. "I know he will take that mindset to Congress, and will work to ensure that our nation's borders are secure and that our military and intelligence have the resources necessary to keep America safe. I support his candidacy for Congress because he has the tools necessary to help America's recovery after eight years of President Obama."
