Ambassador Paula J. Dobriansky Joins Thomson Reuters

Dobriansky to Strengthen Government Affairs in the Americas

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 1, 2010) - Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI) today announced Ambassador Paula J. Dobriansky, former under secretary of state, will join the company's Markets Division, the financial and media operations of Thomson Reuters. Ambassador Dobriansky will join as senior vice president and head of government affairs for the Americas.

Ambassador Dobriansky will be responsible for designing and implementing Thomson Reuters Markets strategy in Washington, DC and other key Americas capitals. She will join a global government affairs team across our Markets and Professional businesses which proactively identify risks and opportunities presented by potential regulation and maintain strategic lines of communication with government bodies.

Before joining Thomson Reuters, Ambassador Dobriansky was under secretary of state for Democracy and Global Affairs from 2001 to 2009, and received the Secretary of State's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Medal, for her work. She has held senior government and board positions during both Republican and Democratic Administrations, and served as senior vice president and director of the Washington Office of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Ambassador Dobriansky will continue to serve as an adjunct senior fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
