AMD Honored on CRN's 5-Star Partner Programs Guide for Second Consecutive Year

Annual Guide and 5-Star Designation Identifies the IT Channel's Most Successful Vendor Partner Programs

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - March 28, 2011) - For the second consecutive year, AMD (NYSE: AMD) has received a 5-Star Partner Rating and has been named to CRN's 2011 Partner Programs Guide for its AMD Fusion Partner Program (FPP). CRN's Partner Programs Guide recognizes vendors with robust partner programs or products that provide the best possible partnering elements for channel success.

"The companies listed on the 2011 Partner Programs Guide represent the best channel programs in the market today," said Kelley Damore, vice president and editorial director for Everything Channel's CRN. "Of those, only a few get our five-star award, based on their commitment to the channel, breadth of program offerings and services offered to their partners. Each of these organizations understands that technology alone does not make for a successful channel program. By focusing on delivering a comprehensive partner program, vendors and solution providers can work together to drive business opportunities and revenue."

The AMD FPP was announced in 2009 in an effort to deliver greater support to AMD's technology partners with robust training, sales-enablement resources, exclusive partner events, joint-marketing campaigns and more. The unified, global AMD FPP strategy is comprehensive and covers the full breadth of channel business models while offering flexibility to address each partner's own go-to-market strategies.

In the last year, the program has expanded to include AMD Rewards, a Systems and Technology track for embedded partners, and a Distributor track. These specific programs allow AMD to deliver incentives, benefits and support based on specific partner and customer feedback. Through the AMD FPP, AMD equips channel partners with the resources they need to drive profitability with an extensive, industry-leading portfolio.

"We're extremely honored to once again be recognized as a CRN 5-Star Partner Program Winner for our efforts with the AMD Fusion Partner Program," said David Kenyon, corporate vice president, Worldwide Channel Marketing, AMD, and an Everything Channel 2011 channel chief. "We are dedicated to bringing our partners the support and product innovation they rely on to grow their business. This award proves once again the importance of listening to our partners and designing a flexible partner program around their needs."

The 2011 Partner Programs Guide and 5-Star Partners listing will be featured on CRN.com and in the March 28 issue of CRN.
