Amergence Picks Its Board of Advisors for the 2010/2011 Term

The Amergence Group's Board of Advisors Reviews the Progress of Each Acquisition or Joint Venture Entered Into by the Company; The Board Determines Whether an Acquired Company or Joint Venture Has Attained Enough "Success Elements" in Order to Become a Fully Reporting Company on Its Own or Whether It Will Remain With Amergence

PHOENIX, AZ and HONG KONG--(Marketwire - October 4, 2010) - Dr. John G. Stoessinger has graciously accepted the request of the company president, Peter Jacobs, to return to The Amergence Group's (PINKSHEETS: AMNG) Board of Advisors. Some of Dr. Stoessinger's lifetime achievements include:

Distinguished Professor of Global Diplomacy at the University of San Diego in San Diego, California. He has taught at Harvard, MIT, Columbia, Princeton, the City University of New York, and Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. In 1969 he led the International Seminar on International Relations at Harvard University, and in 1970 he received honorary doctor of law degrees from Grinnell College, Iowa, and from the American College of Switzerland. 

Dr. Stoessinger is the author of ten leading books on international relations, including The Might of Nations: World Politics In Our Time, which was awarded the Bancroft Prize by Columbia University in 1963 and is now in its tenth edition. He is also the author of The Refugee and the World Community; Financing the United Nations System; Power and Order, The United Nations and the Superpowers; Nations at Dawn: China, Russia, and America, Crusaders and Pragmatists: Movers of Modern American Foreign Policy; and Henry Kissinger: The Anguish of Power. Dr. Stoessinger also served as chief book review editor of Foreign Affairs for five years and as acting director of the Political Affairs Division at the United Nations from 1967 to 1974. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Joining Dr. Stoessinger on Amergence's Board of Advisors for the 2010-2011 term are:

William B. Haseltine -- Mr. Haseltine has over twenty years' experience in corporate and securities law. He has practiced both in the US and internationally, where he has provided advice and guidance to several countries seeking assistance defining, creating and implementing quality securities laws and regulations. He has significant knowledge and contacts abroad that assist in the process of accessing markets outside the US.

Mr. Haseltine spent nearly ten years at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as Special Counsel, working in the Office of International Corporate Finance, the Office of Disclosure Policy, the Office of Chief Counsel and the Office of Disclosure Operations. He is an expert in small businesses, and has devoted the past several years to assisting the formation, capitalization and regulatory compliance of many new and growing companies. Mr. Haseltine also currently serves as Outside Counsel to The Amergence Group.

John T. Martin -- Mr. Martin's began his career with the Bureau of Intellectual Property in the Federal Government of Canada in the mid '70s. From there, Mr. Martin moved to British Columbia, where he enjoyed a busy practice as an attorney in various firms including his own, until 2003. Mr. Martin's preferred areas of law were securities, Immigration, real estate and debt realization.

In the course of his legal practice, Mr. Martin had the chance to meet many Chinese and other Asian clients and successfully built a substantial business network in both China and Asia. Since 1985, Mr. Martin had been a regular visitor to South East Asian countries: Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and China. In 2006, Mr. Martin made the decision to take up permanent resident in Hong Kong. 

Once in Hong Kong, Mr. Martin focused his expertise on the listing of many of the Chinese companies specializing in the clean energy sector and advertising. As his practice flourished, Mr. Martin enjoyed a successful career as CEO of a prominent Hong Kong advertising company. He has been residing in Hong Kong ever since. His past exposure in the investment banking business provides him with a rare insight into opportunities in Hong Kong's commercial market.
