American Arium and MontaVista Software to Present at Freescale Technology Forum

Arium and MontaVista Chosen to Speak at June 21 Breakout Session

TUSTIN, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 20, 2005 -- American Arium, an industry leader in hardware-assisted development tools, and MontaVista Software together will speak on the topic, "Embedded Linux Today: It's a New Ballgame!" at the Freescale Technology Forum beginning today in Orlando, Florida. John Overton, principal engineer, Arium, and Jacob Lehrbaum, product manager, Mobile & Wireless, MontaVista, are scheduled to speak at a 4:15 pm breakout session on Tuesday, June 21.

The presenters will discuss tasks, problems, and methods of deploying Linux in an embedded environment that has changed dramatically in the last few years. They will touch on tools, development project environments, and validated versions on the market today and will address the pros and cons of each. The session will include a demonstration of Arium's hardware-assisted SourcePoint™ debugger on a Freescale iMX21 application development system reference board running MontaVista® Linux®.

Freescale Semiconductor is holding its first technology developer forum from June 20-23. The conference, which runs from June 20-22, offers some 400 hours of technical training and 200 technology demonstrations for silicon and design engineers, system architects, analysts, and members of the media. The purpose of the event, according to Freescale, is to collaborate, communicate, and explore the latest innovations defining the future of the embedded world. Nearly 2,000 participants are expected.
