American Century Investments Names Figliulo & Partners U.S. Agency of Record

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - August 18, 2017) - American Century Investments, a leading asset manager focused on delivering strong results and building long-term relationships with clients, announced today the appointment of NYC-based Figliulo & Partners (F&P) as U.S. creative agency of record (AOR). In this role, F&P will oversee all of the firm's strategy, creative, and media planning and buying and is expected to launch its first work in Q4 2017.

"American Century Investments prides itself on its nearly 60-year legacy of striving to help institutional and individual investors achieve financial goals," said American Century's Glen Casey, senior vice president and Global Head of Products. "F&P will help us tell our client-centric story, while underscoring those attributes of our brand that distinguish American Century from other money management firms. We can't wait to get to work as true partners and show the world what we're all about."

The global asset manager was founded in 1958 by Jim Stowers Jr., an entrepreneur who believed that the ultimate measure of his firm's performance was the success of his clients. The company has since grown exponentially and has made it part of its mission to have a positive impact on society. As part of that approach, Stowers and his wife, Virginia, created the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, a world-class biomedical research organization dedicated to the study of genetic diseases, including cancer. To this day, more than 40 percent of American Century's company dividends go to this Kansas City-based Institute to help find cures, treatments and causes of the diseases studied.

"F&P shares many of the values that American Century was founded on, such as honesty and integrity. That's what allows us to be such great, like-minded partners and will ultimately help us produce work that you wouldn't expect from this category," said Scott Vitrone, Partner and Chief Creative Officer at F&P. "The company has a truly great story to tell, and we can't wait to bring it to life."

American Century is the third new business win for F&P this year and its first financial services client. The agency was most recently named lead creative agency for Vanity Fair, part of Georgia Pacific, and launched its first campaign for the brand, titled "How Lovely."
