American Gaming Systems (AGS) Announces Licensing Agreement With GameTech International for Proven VLT Titles Planned for the Illinois Video Gaming Market

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Nov 2, 2011) - American Gaming Systems (AGS), a leading designer, manufacturer and operator of gaming machines with more than 8,000 units in operation, announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with GameTech International allowing AGS to access GameTech's extensive library of proven video games specifically developed for video lottery terminal (VLT) markets such as Louisiana and Montana for use by AGS once licensed in the pending Illinois video gaming market.

The agreement gives AGS exclusive rights to initially select five titles from GameTech's video game library that includes poker, keno, lineup and blackjack games. AGS also has right of first refusal and the option to license additional titles.

GameTech titles, which are also offered under its Summit brand, are particularly popular in the Louisiana VLT market that shares similarities with the limited-bet, limited-jackpot market planned for Illinois when the Illinois Video Gaming Act ultimately goes live.

"This agreement supplements AGS' existing pipeline of games to support our future Illinois customers and allows for new and unique titles to join our existing lineup of games on the Gambler's Choice™ machines and Roadrunner™ platform, including the recently licensed Cherry Master™ brand," said AGS CEO Robert Miodunski. "We are confident that the game-play characteristics found in these GameTech and Summit titles, and very popular in markets such as Louisiana, will draw a loyal following among players in Illinois when the video gaming market opens there.

"These new title additions are yet another step in AGS' commitment to provide players and operators a robust line of games and systems tailored specifically for the Illinois market," Miodunski added.

With roots in the gaming industry dating back to 1996, AGS' current portfolio of products includes Class III and Class II machines, Class III and Class II server-based gaming and wide-area progressives. Privately held by San Francisco-based Alpine Investors, AGS is a leader in the Class II space, providing video machines to tribal markets, and has sales, service, development and management locations in Nevada, Illinois, Oklahoma and Canada, with a satellite service presence in a number of other jurisdictions. AGS' current list of market approvals spans key jurisdictions from coast to coast and the Company's expansion plan is on target for new approvals that will give AGS a presence in every major market in the country, including Nevada and New Jersey.
