American Graphite Identifies Flake Graphite Mineralization and Stakes Additional Lands at Lac Rouge Graphite Prospect in Quebec, Canada


LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jan 25, 2016) - American Graphite Technologies Inc. ("AGIN" or the "Company") (OTCBB: AGIN) is pleased to announce the completion of exploration work on its 100% owned Lac Rouge Graphite Project located near TIMCAL's Lac des Iles graphite mine in the province of Quebec. Flake graphite mineralization was identified on the property during fieldwork that included prospecting, geological mapping and surface sampling. Flake size of graphite mineralization observed in the field samples is in the range of 1-3 mm. This type of large flake graphite in its naturally occurring form is required for producing high purity, technology grade graphite commercially.

The exploration work also identified graphite mineralization on adjacent grounds; therefore, the Company has staked additional prospective ground in the vicinity of the existing claims. A total of 15 new claims were staked covering an approximate area of 885 hectares (2,186 acres), and their details will be provided as soon as the claims are granted by the Quebec Ministry for Natural Resources and Mines (MRNF Quebec).

A total of 44 grab surface samples were collected during the fieldwork. The samples were submitted to SGS Laboratories, Lakefield, Ontario, which are globally accredited laboratories for geochemistry and metallurgy.

  • Excellent infrastructure support with road accessibility, located 150km from Montreal. Water, power and manpower are all available locally.
  • Available airborne geophysical data from MRNF indicates a large magnetic anomaly on the property, which can be a potential target for future graphite exploration work. The anomaly covers an area of approximately 4 square kilometres.
