American Home Shield Simplifies Pricing, Enhances Agent Portal for #RealEstate #HomeWarranty Protection

Input From Real Estate Professionals Drives Improvements and Better Access

MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwired - May 24, 2016) - American Home Shield, the nation's largest provider of home warranties, has announced enhancements to its Real Estate Home Warranties designed to protect covered appliances and home systems during and after a real estate transaction. Feedback from real estate agents and brokers drove simplified pricing, application improvements and enhancements to the My Account PRO online portal.

"We believe we have the best coverage options available in the home warranty industry, and with these improvements, we're proud to bring an even better experience to real estate professionals across the country," says Trafford Seymour, vice president of sales, American Home Shield, a business unit of ServiceMaster (NYSE: SERV).

"We value the feedback and suggestions of real estate professionals, and with input from brokers and clients alike, we've made it easier than ever to do business with us."

Changes made in direct response to feedback from real estate professionals and include:

  • Simplified plan pricing that is no longer based on the age of the home
  • Easy-to-read coverage chart to make it easier for clients to review their coverage
  • Updated repair and replacement costs to show what your clients would likely spend without a home warranty
  • Seller coverage option, called out and clearly explained

Further enhancements to the My Account PRO portal also make it easier to enroll for warranties, manage warranty contracts and even order services on behalf of homeowners quickly and efficiently during the listing period.

"With these improvements, we want to empower real estate professionals with the information and tools that help homeowners understand responsible homeownership and see the value and service that an AHS Real Estate Home Warranty delivers," said Seymour.

Seymour also pointed out that with all the decisions and details involved in a real estate transaction, a warranty can set a home apart from others on the market, providing coverage for break downs during the selling process and provide new homeowners with additional confidence in their investment.

"Our real estate products offer significant value and convenience to home buyers, sellers and real estate professionals, and we believe these latest improvements will deliver an even greater experience to our customers," said Seymour.
