American Idol Finalists Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams Take to Their Web Cams to Promote New Holiday Single

LOS ANGELES, CA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 12, 2011) - American Idol season 10 sensations Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams have turned to live video chats to reach thousands of fans in a very personal way.

The duo, who is promoting their holiday single, "Baby, It's Cold Outside," will chat live with fans on popular pop-culture website at 4pm PST today. The event is powered by the OpenTok Video Platform from TokBox, which enables large-scale video chats on any website.

Haley and Casey are the latest celebrities to embrace video chat and avoid the physical, emotional and environmental toll of extensive travel. Other high profile video chatters include American Idol winners Scotty McCreery and Lee DeWyze, and R&B Group Mindless Behavior; even the Dalai Lama and Bishop Desmond Tutu have hosted video chats over the past few months.

Ian Small, TokBox CEO, added: "The entertainment industry is taking on this new video chat technology in a major way, with artists able to engage thousands of fans in a very personal way. It provides immediate gratification, no major logistics, security or travel plans, and creates truly meaningful and memorable conversations and experiences. Face to face is the most human and engaging of the social mediums, so much more can be achieved than on Twitter or Facebook alone."

To join the chat with Haley and Casey, go to on Monday, 12th December by 4pm Pacific.
