American Internet Services (AIS) Expands Its Footprint in the Digital Realty Trust Facility in Phoenix, Arizona

(NYSE: DLR), a leading global provider of data center solutions, to expand its presence in the Van Buren facility located in Phoenix, Arizona. The AIS Van Buren Data Center (VBDC) serves as a focal point for the company's disaster recovery / business continuity service offering and will play a key role in the AIS vCloudOne infrastructure-as-a-service offering.

AIS began its relationship with Digital Realty in November 2009 when it opened its first premium data center outside of the Southern California region. Phoenix was selected because of its reputation of being one of the safest locations in the nation in terms of protection from natural disasters. Digital Realty met AIS' requirements by delivering a state-of-the-art, concurrently maintainable facility designed for flexibility, reliability and efficiency that includes a 2N UPS configuration, N+1 cooling infrastructure and 24x7x365 onsite security/support personnel.
