American Legacy Fine Arts Presents 'The Artist's Private World'

Renowned Contemporary-Traditional Fine Artists Share Details of Their Personal Lives in This Group Exhibition That Showcases Figures, Landscapes and Interiors

PASADENA, CA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2008) - Seven renowned contemporary-traditional artists -- Peter Adams, Jean LeGassick, Jeremy Lipking, Stephen Mirich, Daniel W. Pinkham, Alexey Steele and Aaron Westerberg -- provide rare glimpses into their private lives with the group exhibition "The Artist's Private World," which will be on view at the Pasadena gallery American Legacy Fine Arts from June 14 to July 26.

In this exhibition of nearly 40 works, the artists share through their paintings the people, places and things that hold special meaning for them. Each work reveals to the viewer the artist's distinctive character and how he or she perceives the world. Tranquil landscapes disclose the sacred places at which they seek solitude from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Evocative portraits pay homage to those who inspire them. And with intimate interiors, they invite you to experience the environments in which they work and live.

"With 'The Artist's Private World,' we have the opportunity to experience the artists' personal environments and begin to understand how their unique surroundings influence their overall vision for art," said Elaine Adams, the gallery's director.

American Legacy Fine Arts is located in the tranquil Pasadena neighborhood near the world-famous Rose Bowl. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
