American Physicians Service Group, Inc. Announces Election of Mr. Lew Little to Board of Directors

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 15, 2005 -- American Physicians Service Group, Inc. ("APS") (NASDAQ: AMPH) today announced that Lew N. Little, Jr. was elected by the Company's shareholders to its Board of Directors. Mr. Little will also serve as a member of the Board's Audit and Compensation Committees.

Mr. Little has been Chief Executive Officer of Harden Healthcare, LLC., a holding company that, through its subsidiaries, operates and manages skilled nursing facilities, a rehabilitation company and a pharmacy. Mr. Little was President of Capstar Partners, LLC., a private investment company, from February 2000 until joining Harden Healthcare. Prior to his association with Capstar, Mr. Little had spent 18 years in the banking industry, most recently as President of Bank of America in Austin, Texas.
