American Portfolios Launches 2016 Connections Tour With Additional Meetings and Elements to Benefit Financial Advisors

HOLBROOK, NY--(Marketwired - March 07, 2016) -  American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. (APFS), a privately-held, independent broker/dealer that services financial advisors nationwide, has launched its 2016 Connections Tour -- an exciting lineup of value-added regional meetings, practice management events, informational webinars and strategically located geopods, culminating in its much-anticipated annual national conference, Connections 2016.

The 2016 Connections Tour is all about momentum, designed to keep APFS' family of investment professionals "on track," "connected" and "headed in the right direction." With the challenges and opportunities awaiting advisors in a changing business environment within financial services, the tour's meetings and events are structured to provide optimal guidance and direction for every advisor's needs -- whether they're making the switch from transactional to fee-based business or in the process of developing a succession plan. At all turns, APFS is poised to help its affiliated colleagues navigate every pathway in order to make the best possible decisions for their businesses.

Loading up 2016 with touch points to its customers -- affiliated investment professionals and associated support staff -- the firm has arranged a plethora of business-building events from the tried-and-true regional meetings that APFS colleagues have come to enjoy and expect, to carefully-selected, topic-focused meetings, targeting specific business needs in order to provide greater and more meaningful value for APFS' financial professionals. Each of the 2016 Connections Tour stops will feature a jam-packed agenda full of practice management ideas, money manager panels and advanced fee-based portfolio construction sessions. Every meeting and event is designed to provide financial advisors with industry updates, relevant business-building ideas and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

"We anticipate that the 2016 Connections Tour will be our most successful tour to date," said President of Sales and New Business Development Tim O'Grady. "We've put together a comprehensive meeting and event lineup that covers all the bases -- from how to best utilize our proprietary technology for optimal results to thought-provoking panel discussions on timely and relevant market and industry-related topics from our well-informed group focus partners and managers. American Portfolios' investment professionals will no doubt come away well informed and armed with business solutions, as well as a finely-tuned sense on how to create profitable, sustainable and highly valued practices."

This year's lineup offers five strategically located regional meetings, beginning on March 9 in Melville, N.Y. Thereafter, regional meetings will be held on March 15-16 in West Palm, Fla.; June 15-16 in Mt. Laurel, N.J.; Oct. 19-20 in Rochester, N.Y.; and Oct. 26-27 in Manhattan, N.Y.

Connections 2016, as always, is the premier event of the American Portfolios tour. Last year's annual conference saw a banner turnout with more than 600 registrants comprised of affiliated and prospective advisors; OSJ managers; advisor support staff; partners; sponsors; select members of APFS' senior management team and staff; and its advisory board members in attendance. This year, Connections 2016 is scheduled for Sept. 14 - 16 at the Marriott Waterfront at Baltimore's beautiful Inner Harbor. Based on feedback and its commitment to creating a valuable event that attendees can bring back with them to finish out the year and kick off the New Year, APFS chose this venue due to the high demand of advisors who so enjoyed Connections 2014 in the same location.

In addition to the regional meetings lineup and the national conference, APFS has also organized a number of practice management events, building on the overwhelmingly positive response from last year's Redtail University, which focused on the value and specifics of how to utilize a Content Relationship Management system (CRM) to encourage business growth. Planned for 2016 are a series of bi-monthly webinars on topics including social security and products such as MoneyGuidePro and FMG Suite. APFS will also be hosting regularly scheduled Geopods at various locations throughout the country, enabling advisors to network, share ideas and encourage relationship building, and bi-weekly webinars on a wide range of topics and products intended to enhance advisors' business practices.
