American Realty Advisors Hires Director Within Its Investment Group

GLENDALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 12, 2006 -- American Realty Advisors is pleased to announce that David Reece has joined the firm as a Director within the Investment Group. Based in American's Atlanta office, Mr. Reece will oversee the solicitation, analysis, underwriting and negotiation of debt and equity real estate acquisitions and investments, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and a portion of the Southwest region. American welcomes Mr. Reece to enhance the depth and experience of its senior management team, as the firm's business and client base continues to expand.

Mr. Reece brings to American an extensive track record spanning more than 17 years of real estate experience. Most recently, he served as Director of Real Estate Equities at Northwestern Investment Management Company, where he was responsible for structuring, underwriting and approving equity real estate investments nationwide. Prior to joining Northwestern, Mr. Reece served as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development at AMLI Residential Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust and was Vice President and Financial Manager at Quadrangle Development Company.
