AMERICAN SYSTEMS Appoints Hyuk Byun to Vice President/GM of Professional Services, Pete Pflugrath to Vice President/GM of Custom Solutions

CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) - AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading provider of federal IT and engineering services and solutions and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., today announced the appointment of two AMERICAN SYSTEMS executives: Hyuk Byun to Vice President/General Manager of Professional Services and Pete Pflugrath to Vice President/General Manager of Custom Solutions. The promotions reflect the company's spirit of rewarding strong leadership and encouraging collaboration between the company's offering groups in order to better serve customers.

• Hyuk Byun, Vice President and General Manager, Professional Services: Mr. Byun will lead AMERICAN SYSTEMS' Professional Services offering group. He will broaden the horizons of the group, bringing expertise from his successful six year track record as the previous head of the Custom Solutions offering group. Serving at AMERICAN SYSTEMS since 2007, Mr. Byun has more than 25 years of experience in the government and IT communities.
• Pete Pflugrath, Vice President and General Manager, Custom Solutions: Mr. Pflugrath has been promoted to lead the Custom Solutions offering group, where he developed and managed identity management programs and complex systems like the Synchronized Pre-deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT) Enterprise System. He has more than 25 years of experience as a leader within the DOD, intelligence and federal community and has been at AMERICAN SYSTEMS since 2010.
