AMERICAN SYSTEMS Awarded Contract by Defense Information Systems Agency

Company to Provide Test & Evaluation Mission Support Services in Support of DISA and the Joint Interoperability Test Command


CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - Aug 9, 2012) - AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced it was awarded a prime contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide test and evaluation (T&E) support for the DISA Test & Evaluation Executive Office and the DISA Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), in order to fulfill their DISA T&E mission. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) with firm-fixed-price provisions contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a shared ceiling value of $871,417,098, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at Fort Huachuca, AZ; Fort Meade, MD; Indian Head, MD; as well as test and exercise locations around the world.

The AMERICAN SYSTEMS team will support tasks to perform a wide range of non-personal services to encompass testing, scientific, engineering, logistic, administrative, purchasing, and ancillary support of the DISA T&E mission. The services will include all support aspects, including the operation and maintenance of the test tools, labs, networks and infrastructure, and administrative support cells.

The AMERICAN SYSTEMS team will provide a highly skilled workforce to support DISA mandated mission tasks to enhance operations and effectiveness by implementing advanced T&E tools and methods that improve DISA T&E infrastructure with the goals of reducing customers' footprints and supporting their speed to field T&E capabilities. The team will support test events that are necessary to provide the information and confidence that DISA program capabilities are ready for implementation. The AMERICAN SYSTEMS team will operate and maintain test infrastructure providing on-demand test suites, operational network connectivity, collaborative environment, multiple security level, and technical support services to ensure program system integration through implementation of seamless integration of software capabilities within required security framework and leveraging operational network infrastructure. Among the varied scope of work under the contract, AMERICAN SYSTEMS personnel could be responsible for testing C4I, AIS, IT/NSS technologies and capabilities that pertain to multiple branches of the Armed Services and Government. This includes Joint Interoperability and Net Readiness test and certification, Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and providing warfighter support.
