AMERICAN SYSTEMS Selects Ruth Bowers to Lead GWAC/IDIQ Programs and Proposal Development

Strategic Business Development and Proposal Executive Selected to Drive New Business Through GSA GWAC/IDIQ Vehicles


CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - Jun 11, 2012) - AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., has appointed Ms. Ruth Bowers to Vice President, IDIQ Service Center/Proposal Development. Ms. Bowers will drive new business opportunities through the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract Service Center and will lead Proposal Development efforts across AMERICAN SYSTEMS.

In her new role, Ms. Bowers will participate in all activities related to the pursuit, capture, and winning of major new business opportunities for AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Specifically, Ruth will be responsible for all Proposal Development activities and lead the Company's IDIQ Service Center efforts in the identification, tracking and pursuit of Task Orders.

Ms. Bowers has over 30 years of experience in the industry, with particular strengths in strategic business development skills and GSA customer relations, with broad operational, contracts, management, and pricing experience. Most recently, she was VP, Business Development for GSA/GWAC/IDIQ programs at BAE Systems Intelligence and Security. Prior to that, Ruth held similar positions at Apptis, Inc., Titan Corp., CGI-AMS and CSC/DynCorp.
