AMERICAN SYSTEMS to Sponsor Fundraiser at Charleston RiverDogs Game in Support of the Folds of Honor Foundation

Event Benefits the Families of Military Service Men and Women Killed or Disabled While Serving Our Nation

CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - Aug 23, 2011) - AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading provider of federal IT and engineering solutions with offices in Charleston, SC, is sponsoring a fundraising event at the Charleston RiverDogs game this Labor Day weekend, benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS will donate $1 for every fan in attendance, as well as collect donations at the game. All proceeds will go to Folds of Honor, whose mission is to salute the sacrifice of fallen and disabled service members by ensuring their families are not left behind. Through scholarships and other assistance, Folds of Honor provides healing and hope to the families of those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

John D. Flinn, a decorated veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and former Marine and U.S. Secret Service agent, will throw the first pitch. Flinn will also be accepting the proceeds on behalf of Folds of Honor, presented by AMERICAN SYSTEMS.

For the September 3rd game, the Charleston RiverDogs will be facing off against the Ashville Tourists. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive tailgate chairs courtesy of AMERICAN SYSTEMS and WCIV Channel 4.
