AMERICAN SYSTEMS Taps Government Services Veteran Susan Case to Lead National Security Business Development Efforts

Appointment to Enhance Company's Ability to Deliver Comprehensive Solutions to Government to Prevent and Neutralize Domestic and International Threats

CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - July 7, 2008) - AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government and commercial IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Susan Case to the position of vice president of its national security Strategic Business Area (SBA).

In her role as SBA Leader, Ms. Case, a domestic and international business development specialist with 27 years of experience, will develop new business and reinforce AMERICAN SYSTEMS' expertise in the planning and execution of mission critical programs, protection of critical infrastructure, enhancement of information and communication technologies, and promotion of physical security.

Ms. Case comes to AMERICAN SYSTEMS from L-3 Intelligence Solutions, where as vice president she led the business development efforts of a $780 million IT services division targeting the DoD and intelligence community.

Prior to joining L-3 in 2004, Ms. Case held roles of increasing responsibility at Keane Federal Systems, rising to principal account executive responsible for business development. Earlier in her career, Ms. Case served in business development and executive positions with Robbins-Gioia, Inc., Wang Laboratories, Inc., and Burroughs Corp.

Ms. Case earned undergraduate degrees in mathematics and psychology from the University of Richmond and completed her master's degree in industrial organizational psychology at George Mason University.
