American Uranium Announces Obtaining Reno Creek Deep Injection Well Permit

DENVER, COLORADO--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - American Uranium Corporation (OTCBB:AUUM) ("American" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its Reno Creek Joint Venture with Strathmore Resources, US Ltd. (STM) has recently obtained Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) Underground Injection Control Permit Number UIC 98-092 for Class I Injection Wells. The Reno Creek deposit is located in the Pumpkin Buttes uranium district of the Powder River Basin in Campbell County, Wyoming, USA.

American's CEO Dr. Bob Rich said, "Obtaining the still-valid Deep Injection Well Permit is a significant milestone for the Reno Creek Project."

This Permit was obtained from its previous owner by assignment in accordance with WDEQ regulations and process. The Permit has a TEN (10) year lifetime and will be renewed before its June 2008 expiration date.

The Permit is one of three major permits/licenses needed for development of the Reno Creek project. The other two are WDEQ Mine Permit and US Nuclear Regulatory Commission license for Uranium In-Situ Recovery (ISR) mine and processing plant.

The Project Plan for 2008 includes drilling eighteen (18) hydrologic test wells for baseline groundwater characterization. Baseline environmental studies and preliminary well-field and processing plant design work will also be done. The Joint Venture anticipates submission of the NRC and WDEQ applications during the fall of 2009.
