AmeriCatalyst Llc Announces Participation of David Stockman, "Father of Reaganomics" and Author of [Trumped!], and [Fed Up] Author Danielle Dimartino Booth at AmeriCatalyst 2016 Conference in Austin

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - October 07, 2016) - AmeriCatalyst LLC released details Friday of a keynote session titled "The Financialization of Politics: The Fed, the Housing Market, and the Future of America," featuring David Stockman and Danielle DiMartino Booth at AMERICATALYST 2016.

AMERICATALYST 2016: FAST FORWARD will be held October 30th through November 1st at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas. The invitation-only annual event, now in its 15th year, is a senior-level peer-to-peer think tank focused on the impact of globalization on the housing ecosystem.

Launched in Madrid, Spain in 2002 to warn about the likelihood of a global implosion of mortgage markets, the event is renowned for its reliable track record of calling attention to the most critical issues in housing markets and finance long before they happen. AMERICATALYST participants represent the most important constituencies in the housing market including regulators, GSEs, investors, banks, mortgage originators, mortgage servicers, leading researchers and economists, technology providers, data providers, Single-Family Rental owner/operators, and REITs.

Consistent with AMERICATALYST's tenacity in tackling controversial content that other conferences cannot -- or will not -- touch, this year's program warns of strong headwinds and serious concern for a housing finance market in desperate need of reform. The lack of meaningful reform is exacerbated by the unprecedented monetary intervention of the Federal Reserve, which has led to a pervasive liquidity crisis across all sectors of the housing finance market, as well as created a precipitous "bubble" state of house prices in many American cities.

AMERICATALYST 2016's keynote session, "The Financialization of Politics: The Fed, the Housing Market, and the Future of America," explores the impact of Federal Reserve policy on the global economy, the U.S. economy and the "backfire" effect of current monetary policy on the housing industry. The session features David Stockman, called "the Father of Reaganomics" for developing the theory of "trickle-down economics" and Danielle DiMartino Booth, who spent nine years as a senior financial analyst and monetary policy adviser to Dallas Federal Reserve President Richard W. Fisher.

"David Stockman is one of the most influential figures in the past century in American economics and politics," said AmeriCatalyst CEO and host Toni Moss, adding that "for better or worse, his economic policies changed the world." During his tenure in the Reagan Administration, Stockman was one of the most controversial directors of the Office of Management and Budget in history. After leaving government service, Stockman joined Salomon Brothers and later became a partner of the Blackstone Group. He is the author of four books, including Trumped! A Nation on the Brink of Ruin and How to Bring it Back (2016). Three-time AMERICATALYST alumni DiMartino Booth is the author of the newly released Fed Up: An Insider's Take on the Willful Ignorance and Elitism at the Federal Reserve (2016).

The keynote session begins with DiMartino Booth's presentation, "One-Trick Pony: A Bucking Fed Throws Off the Housing Market," followed by Stockman with a speech on, "The Way Forward: David Stockman on Coming Back from the Brink," in which he will discuss the dangers of a market beyond the control of its constituents and the economic atmosphere of "casino capitalism." The final joint discussion and Q&A is led by Moss and Amherst Holdings CEO Sean Dobson.
