Ameriwest Energy Selects TCF Services as Field Operators

CASPER, WY--(Marketwire - April 16, 2008) - Ameriwest Energy Corp. (OTCBB: AWEC) ("Ameriwest" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has selected Wyoming-based TCF Services, Inc. ("TCF") as managers of field operations.

TCF Services provide well site drilling and completion consulting services for operations primarily in Wyoming and Colorado and are registered in the State of Wyoming to provide professional engineering services. They bring over 60 years experience in drilling and production operations, as well as operations management in various basins throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

TCF will manage onsite preparations and ongoing oil and gas drilling, completion, workover and facility design and operations. The principal operators of TCF Services are Jeffrey B. Bennett, a 28 year veteran oil industry specialist who brings significant knowledge in the area of performance drilling and directional drilling applications, and TCF Services founder and ex-Conoco engineer Stephen R. Cathey, who brings 31 years of noteworthy oil and gas industry expertise.
