Ammirati Taps Industry Veteran Gabriel Miller for General Manager Post

Effie-Award Winning Exec to Drive Agency Growth

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 19, 2011) - Matthew Ammirati, president and founder of independent creative agency Ammirati, (www.ammirati.com), today announced the appointment of industry veteran Gabriel Miller to Partner and General Manager, a new position at the agency.

Miller, who most recently worked as President of the Interpublic Group of Cos' Avrett Free Ginsberg, will be charged with management responsibilities including developing talent and driving growth. In his short time at Ammirati, he has already brought the agency new business. Miller will report to Ammirati.

During his 17-year career in advertising, Miller has worked across a number of categories including consumer packaged goods, retail, fashion, sports and luxury.

As president of Avrett Free Ginsberg, he supervised a 100-person staff and managed accounts including Nestle Purina, Enterprise Car Rental, Sally Hansen Beauty, Jana Water, and Bacardi, among others. Prior to Avrett Free Ginsberg, Miller was VP, Management Supervisor at McCann Erickson, where he worked on Nestle, Zicam, and new business acquisitions. Miller has also worked at DDB Needham on Neutrogena North America and on accounts including the Los Angeles Clippers, San Diego Padres, and Regional Toyota Dealers.

In 2002, while at Suissa Miller in Los Angeles, Miller won an Effie Award his work on the Cal Fed Bank "Elvis Schmiedekamp" campaign, which helped break the mold for traditional financial advertising.
