amp Trillium Opens Its Second Compressed Natural Gas Station in Jacksonville, Florida

An Opening Ceremony Will Be Held Today, October 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, FL--(Marketwired - Oct 14, 2015) - amp Trillium, LLC, the joint venture between ampCNG and Trillium CNG, today opened a public-access compressed natural gas station in northern Jacksonville, Florida. The station, which is conveniently located at 4100 Heckscher Drive along Interstate 295 at the GATE Station - Gateway to the Port, is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to all CNG vehicles, including Class 8 trucks.

To celebrate the station opening, a ceremony, tour of the station and fueling demonstration will be held today from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in partnership with the Florida Energy Summit, which is taking place in Jacksonville this year. ampCNG's co-founder and director of engineering Steve Josephs will speak at the event, as will Anddrikk Frazier of Integral Energy, Buzz Hoover of GATE and Alan Mosley of the JAX Chamber of Commerce, among others.

With Trillium CNG's proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor (HY-C), this new location enables three Class 8 trucks to fuel simultaneously at 10 diesel gallon equivalents per minute. amp Trillium also owns and operates the only other CNG station in the area, which is located in southern Jacksonville at 9711 Mining Drive off Highway 1 and 295. With two stations strategically located north and south of the city, CNG trucks can now travel in either direction without needing to stray from their designated routes to refuel, saving valuable time and money. Donna Rolf, President of ampCNG, said: "We are very happy to open our second CNG station in Jacksonville, Florida and expand our ever-growing network of public-access stations in the United States. Strategically located near several large distribution facilities, this station enables the many fleets in the area to convert to CNG, a cleaner and less expensive fuel."

Joel Jansen, Vice-President of Trillium CNG, shared: "We are proud to make CNG available to heavy-duty fleets traveling the northeastern Florida corridor. CNG offers a variety of tangible benefits over diesel and gasoline, including lower fuel costs, long-term price stability and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Fleet operators know that we stake our reputation on delivering a great fueling experience for our customers -- fast, safe and reliable."

John Peyton, President of GATE, commented: "Adding a CNG fueling station is consistent with the GATE philosophy of being responsive to all of our customers' fueling requirements. With proximity to the Port of Jacksonville and I-295, our first retail location is ideally positioned to service the needs of both retail and commercial customers while offering a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly fuel alternative."

Alan Mosley, Vice President of Transportation, Energy and Logistics at Chamber and Executive Director of JAX Alliance, added: "This is another prime example of the business community seeing the opportunity in the energy space here in Jacksonville and choosing to make significant investment here. Market-driven infrastructure investment at strategic locations, such as this CNG fueling station in close proximity to JAXPORT, is a catalyst for public and private sector fleets to convert this cleaner, more efficient fuel."

amp Trillium now operates 24 CNG station across the country and will open several more in its mission to create a wide-reaching network of CNG refueling stations along trucking corridors throughout the United States.
