Amplience Delivers Powerful Visual Personalization With Product Customization for Dynamic Media

Extension Offers Lower Content Production Costs and Double-Digit Increases in Engagement and Conversion

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 17, 2016) - Amplience, the Big Content Cloud, announced an extension to its Dynamic Media service that solves the image production problem for retailers who have a wide range of customizable product categories. These products can feature many variants of color, fabric and accessory, and can be personalized with monograms and other personal details. The new Dynamic Media services that power the Product Customization solution dynamically generate color variants from existing photography, enable on-demand image substitutions and support sophisticated text based personalization.

Amplience Product Customization empowers shoppers to more accurately visualize and personalize the product they want to purchase. It enables online retailers to cost-effectively generate the full range of digital content they need to sell the complete product range, while also differentiating the brand experiences by offering user-configurable personalization options.

Key features and benefits:

  • Deliver a complete set of product images for all color and feature variants to drive product-page conversion uplift and reduce production costs
  • Create unique product differentiation with personalized products to better compete with Amazon and discount retailers
  • Reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by simplifying colorization and monograming template development and production
  • Create rich custom configurators that visualize complex product categories to drive engagement, conversion and average-order-values

Powerful tools for outstanding results

The Product Customization App runs within the Amplience Content Hub. it supports the development, testing and visualization of scalable vector graphic (SVG) templates, and provides a comprehensive workflow with user task assignment and SVG approval status. Contact sheets can be generated that show the output of each SVG template -- the SVG can then be 'rejected' or 'approved' by business users, which significantly reduces production time and development costs.

James Brooke, CEO of Amplience, said: "The Product Customization solution opens up the options for shoppers to create the ideal version of the product they want, from visualizing all available color combinations to adding personalizations to products like monograms. This rich layer of personalization gives shoppers more a richer and more valuable experience and enables retailers to drive engagement, conversion and ultimately the ability to offer customers unique functionality."

Rob Morris, Director of Software Development, at Brown Jordan International, said: "For our corporate customers, purchasing managers are looking to order exactly the right product that fits their specific requirements for a project. The ability to interact with and configure our products by adjusting color, fabric or pattern variants to create an accurate visualization solves a critical problem in the purchase journey. That is why we're working with Amplience to deliver all of our product media and to power our product configurators -- the solution is open, flexible and simple-to-use for creatives and developers and also provides the business tooling that supports the complete design and build business process.
