AMT Coffee VAT Announcement

LONDON, ENGLAND--(Marketwire - Dec. 22, 2010) - There's been very little good news for commuters this week as they face further fare increases and disruptions to their journeys because of the season's adverse weather conditions. However, there is now some light at the end of the tunnel and some good news for commuters thanks to a decision made by the UK's leading gourmet take-away coffee firm AMT Coffee located at many of the UK's busiest train station, airports and hospitals.

The company who serve only 100% Fairtrade coffee has announced that it will absorb the upcoming VAT increase due on 4th January and freeze all hot drink prices well into the New Year.

"As a thank you to our customers' year long loyalty we will be absorbing the VAT increase and not raising the price of our hot drinks" says Jon Hassall, AMT Coffee's Chief Operating Officer.

AMT Coffee was the UK's first National Company to go 100% Fairtrade with its coffee and 100% Organic with its milk. Despite the much higher costs associated in doing so the company have always been able to offer its customers exceptional value for money. Indeed a cup of Fairtrade Coffee with Organic milk at an AMT Coffee bar is cheaper than an ordinary cup of coffee from any of the company's major competitors.

Having been based at some of the UK's busiest locations AMT Coffee have over the years learnt the importance of delivering the best possible cup of luxury coffee, served within just a few seconds, and always with a smile. Recently the company have seen further expansion in the UK as well as opening eight European AMT Coffee bars across Ireland, Belgium and Germany.
