ANA Announces Recording of Extraordinary Loss


TOKYO--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - On April 30, 2008, ANA announced the recording of an extraordinary loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008. The details are as follows.

1. Details of the extraordinary loss

As announced on December 22, 2007, ANA received a Statement of Objectives on December 21, 2007, from the European Commission anti-monopoly authorities with respect to alleged anti-competitive behavior in air freight transport services. The allegations are based on evidence held by the European Commission and provided to them by other companies.

ANA has cooperated fully with the European Commission and has thoroughly investigated the allegations through its lawyers. However, to prepare for the possibility of a future loss relating to this matter, ANA has recorded an 'Anti-monopoly related allowance' as an extraordinary loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008. The allowance is for an estimated amount at the present time.

16,198 million yen
