Analyst Report Showcases Benefits of Aligning IT Solutions Throughout the Enterprise

Researchers Reveal Importance of IT, Manufacturing Collaboration

AUBURN HILLS, MI--(Marketwire - May 24, 2011) - Plex Systems, Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, announces the availability of an informative Aberdeen Research report titled "Operational Intelligence: Aligning Plant & Corporate IT."

The timely report, now available as a free download from the Plex Systems Resource Center, emphasizes the importance of implementing comprehensive IT systems to support successful product introductions, manufacturing flexibility, customer service, quality and compliance.

The study shows that collaboration in these key areas has not made it to the shop floor. Fewer than 50 percent of manufacturers surveyed operate with IT and manufacturing organizations that collaborate with comprehensive software in manufacturing operations.

Researchers provide guidelines to create collaboration throughout the enterprise for improved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

"This timely report helps manufacturers looking to leverage the power of comprehensive ERP solutions throughout the enterprise," notes Patrick Fetterman, Plex Systems, Inc. vice president. "Manufacturers in a range of industries will see how improving collaboration between plant and corporate IT improves visibility, reduces operational costs, and improves analytical capabilities to find root causes, corrective actions, and preventive actions."
