Anatolia Copler Drilling Indicates Possible New Zone

Copler CRC-573 cuts 41 meters @ 4.1 gpt gold 500 meters west of Main Zone, near previous 23 meters @ 7.2 gpt gold. Nearby holes follow gold mineralization for +300 meters along strike. Elsewhere, CRC-546 cut 62.5 meters @ 2.42 gpt gold and CRC-540 cut 23 meters @ 3.82 gpt gold

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 12, 2007) - Anatolia Minerals Development Limited (TSX:ANO) ("Anatolia") is pleased to announce assay results at its 100% owned Copler Gold Project. The drill program was designed to target underlying sulfides in the Main Zone, the area between the Main Zone and Manganese Mine Zone, and other areas adjacent to presently defined reserves and resources. The map attached to this news release is posted to Anatolia's website (

The current drill program began October 2006. Earlier results were announced previously (see Anatolia News Release, dated March 28, 2007). These latest results include 39 reverse-circulation and 22 diamond core holes aggregating 11,134 meters. There are 5 drill rigs at Copler which are now focusing on in-fill drilling to support the current mine development program.

A summary of Copler drill holes with meaningful results is given below. None of these results were included in the current mine plan or resource estimate for Copler (see Anatolia News Release, dated January 18, 2007 and the Technical Report filed March 2, 2007, both available at Given the disseminated nature of the deposit, these intercepts are considered true widths.

Richard C. Moores, President of Anatolia, stated, "We are excited by the discovery of a new gold zone beyond the western limits of the Main Zone, demonstrating the potential for additional ounces. We have also been successful in extending and defining previously known gold mineralization, which should be reflected in future resource updates." Mr. Moores added, "The overall mine development program continues to move forward smoothly with key permits applied for and progressing through the approval process. We are aiming for a 3rd quarter, 2007 completion of the Sulfide Study."

In January 2007, Anatolia made a formal decision to begin development of Copler, focusing on the near surface leachable portion of the deposit. To date, total reserves and resource are 6.3 million ozs gold. Proven and probable reserves are 2.8 million ozs gold. Additional gold resources include measured and indicated oxides of 0.4 million ozs gold, inferred oxides 1.3 million ozs gold, measured and indicated sulfides of 0.7 million ozs gold, and inferred sulfides of 1.1 million ozs gold. Detailed engineering, permitting, equipment procurement, financing and other preconstruction activities are ongoing.

Anatolia currently has 82.6 million common shares issued and outstanding, 98.5 million fully diluted. Anatolia trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange as ANO.
