Anchor Loans Announces Project Holiday Cheer 2006

SANTA MONICA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 18, 2006 -- Today Anchor Loans announced their support of the following charitable organizations in conjunction with the company's annual "Project Holiday Cheer" program. This year's sponsored charities include: Sojourn (serving mothers and children fleeing abusive homes), St. Joseph Center (serving needy families through their 'family adoption program'), Gramercy Housing (aiding single mothers and their children), and Operation Gratitude (bringing holiday cheer to U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq).

"Project Holiday Cheer" is an annual joint effort between Anchor Loans' staff and management, combining employee cash donations with matching company funds. A total of $3,500 was collected this year -- funds that were used to purchase a variety of items for these worthy organizations. Donated items include much-needed household items (such as blankets, towels, kitchen appliances, bathroom supplies and baby diapers), warm winter clothing (including gloves, scarves and sweaters), and entertainment-oriented gifts (MP3 players, hand-held video games, gift certificates, phone cards and a variety of candy and snacks). These items were all hand selected by Anchor's staff and are sure to make a positive impact for many children and adults this holiday season.
