And the winners are... Pioneering efforts for sustainability rewarded in the Globe Award 2009

STOCKHOLM, JUNE 3, 2009 - Four outstanding winners of the Globe Award 2009 have now been selected: Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, Tesla Motors, Novo Nordisk and the City of Cardiff. All winners are on the leading edge of sustainability development and knowledge. The awards were presented by H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, at a ceremony in the Winter Garden of Grand Hotel in Stockholm on June 3rd.

The goal of the Globe Award, this year presented for the third time, is to discover and encourage researchers, innovators, companies and cities prominent within sustainable development. Globe Award's mission is to highlight and reward such good cases and initiatives.

A total of four jury groups, each with highly experienced and internationally recognized experts, has ensured that the most innovative and visionary innovators, scientists, cities and companies are highlighted. The Globe Award jury is chaired by Lars-Olle Larsson, Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Sweden.
