OIDA Presents the First of Three DARPA-Sponsored Forums Bringing Together Visionaries to Define Issues and Clarify Trends for the Optoelectronic Industries

What:                   Anders Olsson, Vice President of Engineering,

                        the Optoelectronics Industry Development
                        Association in the inaugural forum, "Perspectives
                        on the Optoelectronics Industry: Advances,
                        Challenges and Growth Opportunities."

When/Where:             September 11 - 12, 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel,
                        San Jose, CA

Presentation Details:   Day One will explore the Optoelectronics Industry
                        as it applies to the Communications sector.
                        Anders Olsson joins other industry luminaries on a
                        panel that will discuss the Components industry.
                        This panel session will take place on Tuesday,
                        September 11 from 1:30 - 2:15 p.m.

Event Details:          "Perspectives on the Optoelectronics Industry" is
                        the opening of three DARPA-sponsored forums, with
                        a focus on industry advances, challenges and growth
                        opportunities. The industry will be divided into
                        six applications sectors: communications,
                        computer/interconnect, consumer/personal,
                        industrial/medical, defense/home security and
                        transportation. Important developments will be
                        highlighted in each sector. Open discussions and
                        breakout sessions will enable high-level dialogue
                        on industry advances and directions.
