Anderson Dental Staff Participates in Memorial Run

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - August 25, 2015) - Anderson Dental Care, a Cincinnati dental office that offers services in all phases of dentistry, recently participated in a memorial 2-mile run at Northern Kentucky University.

The dental staff ran in the 21th Annual Brian Rohne Memorial Run, a program that is part of the university’s summer series. The run is held to honor Brian Rohne, a former Northern Kentucky University cross-country standout who was hit by a car during a training run in 1993. The money raised during the event goes to the Brian Rohne Memorial Fund, an organization that supports Northern Kentucky University runners through scholarships.

“Brian Rohne was the nephew of Marianne, one of our dental assistants, so we were running as a team to support her and her family,” said Dr. Nathan Brooks, the owner of Anderson Dental Care.

This was the first time the dental staff has participated in the event. The team consisted of Dr. Brooks and staff members Jessica, Tracey, Marianne, Chasity and Christina. The team wore matching Anderson Dental Care T-shirts with a quote on back that read, “Effort is like toothpaste … you can always squeeze out a little bit more.”

“It was just a fun way for us to interact with the community and bond as a team,” Dr. Brooks said. “It's exciting for us to come together for something that’s not dentistry-related and really get to interact with the community.”

Anderson Dental Care, 7525 State Road, Suite A, is a comprehensive family dental clinic that provides preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and sedation dentistry. Individual services include fillings, fluoride treatment, crowns, implant crowns, bridges, dentures, Invisalign, professional teeth whitening, night guards, mouthguards and dental sealants. The staff is foremost concerned with patient comfort, which is why the practice offers free paraffin wax hand dips, a relaxing treatment typical for a spa but available in this Anderson Township dental office.

Dr. Brooks was raised in West Lafayette, Ind., as the youngest of four children. Dr. Brooks was inspired to become a dentist by his grandfather, who was a biology professor at Purdue University. Dr. Brooks attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for his undergraduate degree and then received his master’s degree in biology from Purdue University. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University and has since undergone many hours in continuing education courses to offer services like Invisalign.

Dr. Brooks purchased Anderson Dental Care two years ago, but many of his staff members have been with the office for more than 10 years. They continue to provide the exceptional care patients have come to expect in the office’s more than 30 years of service, and Dr. Brooks continues to enhance the practice with personnel and technology.

Dr. Brooks is community-oriented and enjoys completing service projects locally and internationally. Dr. Brooks, who is fluent in Spanish, has treated underserved communities through dental humanitarian trips to Honduras and Ecuador. In addition to offering free Toothprints, he has a special dental offer in November for men and women in military service.
