Andrew Lane 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Redefines Traditional Napa Cab

New Wine Showcases Bountiful Fruit and Restrained Oak Style

NAPA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 23, 2006 -- Andrew Lane, a purveyor of eclectic, fun, and award-winning wine, serves up its new 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

This unique Cabernet offers a bounty of lush fruit and roses and is available today for under $17 MSRP.

Andrew Lane's 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases more fruit ripeness than traditional Napa Cabs. Its hue is deep ruby in color with aromas of bing cherries, strawberries, red roses, cacao and a slight hint of cedar. On the palate, the '02 cab shows its true colors. A thick mouthfeel delivers fresh flavors of berries and plum with lush, soft tannins and a delicious finish that leaves you wanting more.

"We are always finding ways to deliver a unique experience, and this time we re-imagined the traditional Napa cab as a delicious fruit bomb," said Andrew Dickson, owner/winemaker, Andrew Lane Wines. "The 2002 Napa Cabernet is straightforward, luscious and fruity. We allow the varietal to showcase its bright fruit while embracing a restrained-oak style."

Food Pairings

This special Cabernet enhances the flavors of almost every meal, and is especially delectable with BBQs, picnics, pastas and Asian fare. Enjoy a glass of Andrew Lane cab with rosemary ginger salmon glazed over an open fire; toast your friends with pan seared pork chops coated in a wine, garlic and butter sauce; grill your favorite vegetables in olive oil and Kosher salt; grab a glass and fire-up the grill for teriyaki skirt steak; or host a picnic at your favorite spot and set out an assortment of artisan cheeses.
