Anevia Launches ViaDelay for Streaming Television Services to Overseas Territories

PARIS, FRANCE--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2010) - Anevia, a leader in video streaming solutions and service infrastructure for live TV and video on demand (VOD), today announced the launch of its ViaDelay broadcast delay server aimed at operators looking to broadcast mainland TV services to overseas territories.

ViaDelay is a software-based delayed channels server for operators looking to broadcast mainland TV services to overseas territories by compensating for time zone differences and allowing local subscribers to follow mainland television programming by automatically rescheduling content to local viewing times.

ViaDelay is capable of delaying and delivering multiple television channels simultaneously in both standard definition (SD) with MPEG-2 and high-definition (HD) formats. All available channels can be monitored through an easy to use web-based interface for managing blackouts and channel replacement needs on the fly. ViaDelay is interoperable with hundreds of third-party set-top boxes, middleware, encoders, conditional access (CAS) and digital rights management (DRM) systems.

The Anevia ViaDelay has already been deployed by several operators offering mainland television services to their local customers.

"With ViaDelay we continue to expand our solutions portfolio to address the specific needs our telecom operator customers in terms of quality, reliability and technologies," commented Damien Lucas, VP Strategic Projects & Product Marketing and cofounder at Anevia. "Anevia's solutions are built on an open architecture which enables us to adapt them to the specific needs of telecom operators present in overseas territories such as those associated with France, the UK, and Portugal in the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans."
