Angela J. Reddock, Esq. Joins Strategic Counsel PLC, Lends High Level Public Policy Expertise, Public Affairs Perspective and Labor Specialty to Firm

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2008) - Downtown Los Angeles-based Strategic Counsel PLC, a law, public policy and strategic communications consulting firm, today announced that the Honorable Angela J. Reddock, Esq., a sitting member of the Los Angeles Community College Board of Trustees, has joined the firm to expand and serve its statewide portfolio of public policy and government affairs clients with an emphasis on post-secondary education, workforce development and employment and labor legal affairs.

Ms. Reddock will provide corporate training programs to Strategic Counsel's labor and employment clients and advise them on issues such as "Preventing Harassment & Discrimination in the Workplace." She will offer the firm's clients strategic proposals to foster and maintain positive employee relations within companies and promote diverse growth-oriented work environments.

Prior to joining Strategic Counsel, Ms. Reddock was a partner with Los Angeles-based law firm Carroll, Burdick & McDonough, LLP. She was co-chair of the firm's Employment Litigation and Counseling Group. Prior to that, she was the founder and managing partner of her own firm, The Reddock Law Group. Additionally, Ms. Reddock was a partner with Collins, Mesereau & Reddock & Yu, LLP, a Los Angeles-based boutique litigation firm.

Ms. Reddock is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles Community College District, which offers affordable, accessible and practical educational opportunities to a diverse student population through nine community colleges serving the City of Los Angeles. She has an unwavering commitment to civic and community service, which has won her numerous accolades and awards. She holds several board chairmanships, including chair for the Los Angeles African American Women's Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI), Ability First, and the Willie J. & Armenta D. Thornton Scholarship Fund. In addition, Ms. Reddock serves as a commissioner on the Los Angeles City Transportation Commission and the Los Angeles County Local Government Services Reform Commission where she is the chair of the Taxicab Taskforce. Previously, she was a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Small Business Development Commission and a member of the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Ms. Reddock earned bachelor's degrees in English and political science, graduating cum laude from Amherst College in Massachusetts, and a juris doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
