Anguilla Welcomes Livin' in the Sun, an International EDM Festival

Sandy Island, November 11 - 13, 2016

THE VALLEY, ANGUILLA--(Marketwired - October 11, 2016) - The Anguilla Tourist Board is calling all EDM fans to the island's first international dance music festival, Livin' in the Sun, which will take place from November 11 - 13, 2016. Livin' in the Sun is a revolutionary music festival that brings the world's best Deejays together with the sounds of Soulful, Deep House and other indigenous genres of dance music to the spectacularly beautiful beaches of Sandy Island, a tiny spit of sand in the middle of the ocean, just off Anguilla's shores.

For two days and nights in November the casual, laidback tempo of Anguilla takes a remarkably upbeat turn as global music, top notch food and beverage service, live art and water sports dovetail to create the ultimate music festival experience in a most idyllic setting.

"This is an exciting and innovative new event for the island," said Donna Banks, Chairperson of the Anguilla Tourist Board. "Even as we continue to court and maintain our core market, we are building the next generation of Anguilla traveler, and dance music enthusiasts who are natural explorers seeking out unique experiences, are an excellent target audience for us," she continued.

Festival organizers have released a star-studded line-up for the festival, including artistes hailing from as close as St. Maarten and as far away as South Africa. Among the confirmed artists performing are Walshy Fire (Major Lazer, MIAMI); Super Nova (Defected, ITALY); Nathan Barato (Music On, Defected, TORONTO); Nadeeah Eshe & Montana (Spirits in Motion, NYC); Kristel Morin (Tribe Records, UK/AUSTRALIA); DJ Krave (TYBU Prod, NYC); Brother's Grim (SOUTH AFRICA); Jimmy Sax (FRANCE); Patrice Nero (ST. BARTH); and OutKast (ST. MAARTEN), among many others.

The venues for the event are as special as the performers. Festivities kick off on Friday evening with a "Light up the Night" party at the Anguilla Great House, a casual and friendly Caribbean hotel situated in the middle of Anguilla's palm fringed beach, Rendezvous Bay.

On Saturday the revelry moves on to Sandy Island, for an all-day "World Wide Love" party on this lovely islet, ranked the #1 Beach Bar in the Caribbean, by Yahoo Travel. On Saturday night everyone heads to the legendary Dune Preserve, voted the #1 Beach Bar in the World by CNN, for the "MoonShine @ The Dune" party.

On Sunday, it's back to Sandy Island for "Marooned," another all-day, all-inclusive party. The final event, "Sun Rise," winds down in the wee hours of Monday morning at Nats Place/Junks Hole, a rustic retreat on beautiful Savannah Bay, the most easterly beach on Anguilla, famous for the most amazing sunrise over the ocean.

Several properties in Anguilla, from five star resorts to inns and guesthouses, are offering special rates for festival accommodations on island, at a variety of price points. The Pavilion Inn is offering a room rate of US$100 per night plus taxes; the Anguilla Great House is offering room rates of US$150 per night + taxes.

At the Paradise Cove, room rates range from US$170 - US$290 per night plus taxes. The Zemi Beach House is offering room rates of US$295 per night plus taxes, while the CeBlue villa resort is offering US$350.00 per night plus taxes.
