Animal Advocates Gather to Speak Out Against the Commercial Seal Hunt

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 11, 2011) - In opposition to the cruel commercial seal hunt, Canadian animal advocates and animal welfare groups are gathering in cities across the country from March 12-26. These groups aim to call attention to the for-profit slaughter of Canada's wild seals and to, on behalf of the majority of Canadians, ask the Canadian government to end the commercial seal hunt.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) will be in attendance at the Toronto event on Saturday, March 12. Sheryl Fink, Director of IFAW's Seal Program will be in attendance along with IFAW's giant inflatable seal.
