Ann Harmon Named Chief Financial Officer of Golden Living

FORT SMITH, AR--(Marketwire - Jul 18, 2011) - Golden Living announced that Ann Harmon has been named Chief Financial Officer for Golden Living. In addition to her new CFO responsibilities, Harmon will continue in her role as Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning for Golden Living.

Since joining Golden Living in 2010, Harmon has been charged with managing the company's overall strategic planning processes and evaluating opportunities to improve the way Golden Living does business. Additionally, she has been spearheading the development of the new Golden Living Headquarters in Plano, Texas, and managing the reorganization and consolidation of the Golden Living operational structure.

As Chief Financial Officer, Harmon will be responsible for guiding Golden Living's overall financial performance, and for the management of the finance staff throughout the Golden Living family of companies.

Before joining Golden Living, Harmon was Vice President, Managed Markets Finance at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Other positions held during her nine-year career with Novartis include Vice President, Ethics, Compliance and Strategic Planning; and Vice President, Business Planning and Analysis.

Before joining Novartis, Harmon was with Knoll Pharmaceuticals for six years as Vice President, Strategic and Portfolio Management; and Vice President, Finance, Administration and Strategy. In these positions, she was responsible for strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, information management, and managed care and government contracting. Prior to Knoll, she held positions in finance and planning with Boots Pharmaceuticals, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, the First National Bank of Chicago, and International Paper Company.

Harmon earned an MBA Degree in Finance and Accounting from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Math Science from Rice University in Houston.
