Anna Brennan Announces 2015 Phoenix Mayoral Pursuit by Launching "Brennan Means Business" Campaign

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Jul 14, 2015) - Longtime Phoenix resident, Anna Brennan RN, having officially declared her intent to be the next Mayor of Phoenix in 2015, has launched her "Brennan Means Business" campaign.

"My interest in serving as Mayor of Phoenix is based upon my desire to serve the citizens of Phoenix, to lead the outstanding men and women who serve their fellow citizens in this great city, and to partner with fellow Phoenix officials and agencies by delivering the services that the citizens of Phoenix have every right to expect and deserve from their government," Brennan said.

As a platform for change in the nation's sixth largest city, Brennan is on a mission to usher Phoenix into the 21st century as a thriving mix-use urban metropolis, utilizing proven free market principles.

The goal is to have an affordable government, which provides safety and an enhanced quality of life for all of its diverse communities. The idea being that the government works for the citizens; and not the other way around.

"I am offering real budget governance and not 'spend and tax' governance. I refuse to increase water rates, parking meter rates and building fees, as a means to balance the budget. For a start, I would cut the fat and eliminate the wasteful spending," Brennan explains of her "Means Business" ideology.

She specifically highlights Proposition 104, relabeling it as: "TAX 104."

"Putting a 35-year generational sales tax in place is irresponsible governing," she says. "If we want to change the direction of our country, we must get involved in local government. Our cities are the foundation of our country. They are the engines that drive our entrepreneurial spirit; they are the engines that shape and mold our children; they are the engines that immerse our immigrants to become pillars and advocates of all that is great about our country."

With her new campaign, Brennan aims to bring change to the governance of Phoenix by replacing lawyers and career politicians with a person who lives and speaks the life and the voice of the people.

"Phoenix is the sixth largest city in the country, one that hosts 1.5 million residents. But it currently has a mayor that was voted in by only 90,000 people," Brennan explains. "If you don't like what the last four years have delivered, I challenge you to vote on August 25th. Your choice: registered nurse/business owner or lawyer/career politician."
