Annapolis Plastic Surgeon on Training Resident Plastic Surgeons in Egypt

ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwired - Dec 17, 2014) - After training two surgeons from Egypt at her practice, Marcia V. Ormsby, MD, a plastic surgeon in Annapolis, was asked to visit Cairo, Egypt to train their plastic surgery residents. Delighted by the opportunity to volunteer her time and expertise to help improve their skills, Dr. Ormsby traveled to Cairo to teach the group of residents, present to medical professionals, and perform surgery on those in need.

While in Cairo, Dr. Ormsby conducted a variety of surgical procedures of the face, breast, and body. Such procedures included rhinoplasty, facelift, liposuction, and breast augmentation. She notes that while she performed a wide array of surgeries, she noticed common problems among the clinic patients were prominent noses, obesity, scar deformities, and similar concerns.

In addition to helping these people, Dr. Ormsby says that she thoroughly explained diagnoses and treatment plans to the residents to help them understand her methods. She recounts her experience saying, "I very much enjoyed the teaching that I was able to deliver, as well as the care that was so vastly needed."

Dr. Ormsby says she was very appreciative of the hard-working group of people at the hospital and described them as courteous, hospitable, and respectful.
