Anne Arsenault Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Tourism Commission

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 6, 2009) - The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), today announced the appointment of Ms. Anne Arsenault as Private Sector Director of the Board of Directors of the CTC.

"I am pleased to welcome Ms. Arsenault to the CTC, and I am confident that her knowledge and experience in not-for-profit and community development will help guide the CTC's board over the next few years," said Minister Clement.

Ms. Arsenault is General Manager and CEO of Tignish Initiatives Corporation, a not-for-profit community development corporation that develops beautification and property-enhancement projects in the Tignish area as well as strategies and studies. She has also been the owner-operator of Driftwood Country Cottages since 1999.

Prior to this, Ms. Arsenault worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Prince Edward Island and in Clinical Coordination at St. Mary's General Hospital in Ontario.
