The announcement was made official during a ceremony in front of 100 distinguished guests gathered to underline the organization's 20 year anniversary.

Her candidacy was applauded unanimously by Administrative Board members since Annie Gagnon's contribution since January 2014 was important for the success of the organization's main annual fund raising event in July. She held over 25 interviews on the radio, television and print media across the Province and her public notoriety without doubt allowed the $135,000 campaign objective to be reached.

The board trusts that her knowledge and ease in public relations, media communications and relationship building will be important assets in order to increase public awareness about the fundamental role that La Maison des Greffés plays for Quebecers throughout the province.

« Every organ transplant story touches me personally. The courage, determination and the resilience of those facing these challenges are sources of inspiration that encouraged me to get actively involved, » says Annie Gagnon.

La Maison des Greffés is a not-for-profit institution which has been providing affordable accommodation and support for more than 22,000 transplant patients since opening its doors in 1994. Since the year 2000 it has received official community housing status and recognition by the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services.
