Annual Employee Health ReportCard(SM), Launched by ComPsych, Benchmarks Workers' Health and Habits

Almost Half Get No Exercise; Many Blame Stress for Poor Lifestyle Choices

CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 21, 2005 -- ComPsych has introduced the annual Employee Health ReportCard(SM) to benchmark employees' current state of health and habits in order to measure the progress of organizational wellness initiatives. ComPsych Corporation provides employee assistance, work-life and wellness programs.

"The state of employee health is nothing short of shocking," said Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, chairman and CEO of ComPsych. "Like the public at large, there is a high instance of excess weight and relative inactivity. Yet we are hopeful that, with the advent of wellness programs to contain health care costs, these numbers will improve.

"The results show us that stress and hectic schedules play an important role in people's unwillingness to exercise and eat right. These are factors an employer-sponsored wellness and behavioral health program can directly influence."
