Anodyne Therapy Peer-Reviewed Study Demonstrates Reduction in Pain and Pain Medication Use

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - August 20, 2007) - Anodyne® Therapy, LLC announced today a new pain study was published in Practical Pain Management, a peer-reviewed medical journal for pain management specialists. The study involved 493 patients who, prior to treatment, had experienced significant pain in their feet and legs for more than four years on average. Patients treated with Anodyne Therapy and physical therapy demonstrated a 64% reduction overall in their foot and leg pain. Prior to treatment, 74% of the patients experienced significant pain despite taking pain medications. As a result of the therapy intervention, these patients experienced a 65% decrease in pain and 51% of these patients reported they achieved this pain reduction while reducing their pain medications.

"We are extremely pleased to have a growing body of evidence which includes 12 peer-reviewed studies showing the efficacy of Anodyne Infrared Photo Therapy on over 4500 patients," said Craig Turtzo, CEO. "This study is particularly important because it demonstrates that significant pain relief occurs independent of changes in pain medications -- and that over half of the patients were able to reduce or discontinue their pain medications.
