Anord Showcases New Power Distribution Products at DCD Enterprise

Company's PDU Offering Sets New Standards for Power Safety and Performance

SANDSTON, VA--(Marketwired - Apr 12, 2016) -   Anord Critical Power, Inc., (ACPI) a recognized leader and innovator in the power distribution market, today announced the company will showcase its newly launched Anord Modular Product (AMP) Power Distribution Unit (PDU) at DatacenterDynamics Enterprise, April 19-20, New York City (Booth #404). As the most advanced power distribution solution available, Anord's AMP PDU enables mission-critical facilities improved safety, performance, management and monitoring.

The AMP PDU sets new standards for typical PDU offerings by exceeding today's complex electrical distribution requirements with elevated safety and reliability. Additional features include:

  • Transformer Compartment Heat Reduction - Allows better convection cooling characteristics within the heat/transformer compartment, and safety through compartmentalization.
  • Compartmentalization for Safety - Enhances the arc flash safety to require the minimum amount of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to work in a live environment. The AMP PDU design takes human error and electrical arc containment into consideration with innovative compartments that automatically mitigate risks.
  • PDU Start Up - Includes an electronic start-up process for additional cost savings. Customers receive a tablet equipped with an interactive App that guides them through a start-up checklist. Once the procedure is completed, the App securely transfers the data to Anord, or designated recipients for processing.

"Providing continuous power to mission-critical facilities is not an option -- it's a necessity," said John Day, Vice President of Sales for Anord Critical Power, Inc. "Our new PDU innovations improve both the power delivery and safety during maintenance procedures, bringing a more efficient means to continue operations while better insulating employees from electrical shock. We look forward to sharing these insights with DatacenterDynamics Enterprise attendees."
