Anoto Group AB Awarded Colossal Order of Its Digital Pen and Paper Technology by the City of Stockholm

Anoto Digital Pen and Paper Technology Improves Efficiency in Geriatric Care

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - September 25, 2007) - Anoto Group (STKM: ANOT), the inventor of the Anoto Digital Pen and Paper technology, announces today that the City of Stockholm has chosen Anoto digital pen and paper technology to improve its efficiency within geriatric care. The City of Stockholm's order of Anoto's digital pen and paper technology marks the largest Swedish order ever recorded of Anoto's digital forms solution.

The city's use of Anoto's digital pen and paper will likely affect some two out of the ten elderly nationals that receive assistance in their home, including daily services like cooking, shopping, help getting dressed, etc. Almost 15% of the city's inhabitants are above the age of 65, totalling some 115,000 individuals. The Anoto pens that will be implemented over the next 12 months will primarily be used to facilitate documentation and information transfer -- securing the quality of geriatric homecare in the city.

"The City of Stockholm and its elderly will have a win-win-situation," says Anders Norling, Anoto Group's CEO. "The use of Anoto's digital pen and paper technology will guarantee that the service to the elderly is delivered on time with assured quality. Already, some 20 Swedish municipalities -- from Kristianstad in the south to Skellefteå in the north have contracts to use the Anoto digital pen system."

Successful implementations and derived efficiencies over the past year and a half in the cities of Solna and Sundbyberg, have improved and secured the quality of geriatric homecare. The Anoto digital pen and paper technology facilitates the registry of the caregiver's arrival and departure time during each visit and records using the digital pen and digital forms the particular services delivered to the patient.

Proven to enhance nursing homes' front-line care processes and increase staff motivation, Anoto Digital Pen and Paper technology has been adopted in more than 14 nursing facilities in the US alone. Clinicians use it for daily documentation of resident care on customized CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) flow sheets to prevent, track and manage pressure ulcers at the nursing unit and facility level.

"With this order, the City of Stockholm will cover the entire process from resource planning to documentation and reporting," says Mats Eklund, head of resource planning in the sector of geriatric care and homecare at TietoEnator Sweden. "Thanks to our cooperation with Anoto's Swedish partner Catrel AB and other suppliers, we have now been entrusted to deliver an overall long-term mobile IT-solution to the City of Stockholm."
