Antenna Software's 2009 Customer Satisfaction Survey Reflects Benefits of Mobility-as-a-Service

95 Percent of Respondents Satisfied With Antenna as Provider of Hosted Mobile Solutions

JERSEY CITY, NJ--(Marketwire - October 7, 2009) - Antenna Software today announced the results of its 2009 Customer Satisfaction Survey, an annual self assessment of service and support among its Global 1000 customer base. Of particular note, 95 percent of the survey respondents indicated that they were satisfied with Antenna as their provider of hosted mobile solutions. This result reflects the benefits that Antenna customers experience with its hosted, on-demand deployment model, including proactive monitoring of wireless messaging traffic, secure and reliable infrastructure, fast resolution to network issues and real-time visibility into ongoing field operations and the IT systems that comprise the total mobile enterprise solution.

"Antenna often knows there is a problem before we do," said Dave Haas, lead analyst, Animas Corporation, a leading provider of insulin delivery products. "Our mobile CRM solution is hosted in Antenna's Network Operations Center, which makes it easy for it to alert us immediately if it spots an issue so we can resolve it faster -- the hosted model frees us up to focus on business process efficiencies."

More than 90 percent of AMP customers take advantage of Antenna's hosted deployment model, indicating growth and support for this approach. Sometimes referred to as "mobility-as-a-service," the company's hosted, on-demand model provides a comprehensive approach to mobility that eliminates the complexity associated with building, managing and running an around-the-clock mobile solution. By removing those complexities, enterprises can utilize existing resources to focus on core competencies and reduce the costly infrastructure and extra resources needed to build and maintain a mobile solution. To date in 2009, the Antenna Mobility Platform™ (AMP) has achieved 99.9 percent uptime and availability.

According to William Clark in Gartner's Hype Cycle for Software as a Service, 2009, published on July 28, 2009, the business impact of mobile enterprise applications on demand is as follows: "Mobile enterprise applications on demand can, in some instances, reduce the break-even payback time on mobile projects to less than two months by lessening capital expenditures on mobile project software. This effect of shifting expenditures from capital expenditure to operating expenditure can be accentuated if mobile devices are also leased. The effect on businesses where there is uncertainty in the demand for mobile licenses can be very high. Enterprises using pay-as-you-go methods can pilot applications without investing in server licenses and by limiting integration expenditures."

Other notable results from the recent survey include:

-- 97 percent of respondents said they would definitely or likely
    recommend Antenna to a colleague.
-- 96 percent of respondents rated Antenna's Customer Support
responsiveness as "Good," "Very Good" or "Excellent."
-- 97 percent of respondents rated Antenna's Customer Support
representatives on being courteous and professional as "Good," "Very Good"
    or "Excellent."

"We are proud of the continued reliable performance of AMP and the superior work our Customer Service and Operations teams do to support it," said Jim Hemmer, president and CEO, Antenna Software. "Managed mobility is an emerging trend and it is clear to see how a vendor-neutral mobility platform such as AMP helps CIOs speed time-to-market of mobile applications across the enterprise, while helping to lower ongoing support costs. That provides tremendous value to our customers, especially now when budgets are tight and sustainable competitive advantage is critical."

At the heart of the platform is the AMP Gateway. Key functionalities include:

-- Core wireless message transformation and transaction functions,
including store and forward and push messaging.
-- Delivery reliability provides rule-based notifications for non-
delivery, manages network connections to more than 400 global carriers and
enables alternate delivery or notification paths in the event of a failure.
-- Data transformation, authentication, device management and other
    features.
-- Millions of wireless transactions processed per week.
